Job Summary

We are seeking a Peer Tutor to work in the Symbolic and Quantitative Resource Center (SQRC) at Lewis & Clark College. The Peer Tutor will assist students with their coursework in introductory math and science courses, providing homework help, exam prep, and general conceptual assistance.

Responsibilities

The Peer Tutor will be responsible for maintaining a positive and supportive environment where students feel safe asking questions and seeking help. They will work with students of all backgrounds and abilities, providing individualized support and encouragement. The Peer Tutor will also be responsible for attending a brief training in September and working variable shifts, typically 4-8 hours per week in 2-3 hour blocks.

Requirements

To be eligible for this position, applicants must be a rising sophomore or above, have completed one year at Lewis & Clark or one year of undergraduate education at another institution, and have a Lewis & Clark transcript. They must also fill out a Google form for access.

Benefits
