About the Role:
In this position as a Lead Research Engineer, you will:

About You:
You are an ideal candidate for the Lead Research Engineer role if your qualifications include:

Essential skills & experience:
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in software engineering.
  • At least 2 years of experience working on a machine learning-related product or solution.
  • A profound understanding of Python software development stacks and ecosystems.
  • Proven ability to write clean, reusable, maintainable, and well-tested code.
  • A strong desire to learn and adopt new and emerging technologies.
  • Ability to collaborate, communicate effectively, and work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • A keen interest in real-world applications and their impact.
  • Experience with cloud computing development.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
  • Experience implementing CI/CD, DevOps, and SDLC concepts in application development.
Preferred skills & experience:
  • Experience integrating machine learning solutions into production-grade software and understanding ModelOps and MLOps principles.
  • Previous exposure to Natural Language Processing (NLP) challenges and familiarity with key tasks such as Named Entity Recognition (NER), Information Extraction, and Information Retrieval.
  • Ability to understand and translate between the languages and methodologies used in both research and engineering fields.
  • Knowledge of automation, system monitoring, and cloud-native applications, with familiarity in AWS or Azure (or a related cloud platform).
  • Hands-on experience in other programming or scripting languages and development stacks (Java, Rust, Scala, Typescript, etc.).
  • Experience building AI solutions with LLMs / ML APIs.
