Job Title: Electrical Engineering Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineering Manager to join our team at Leonardo DRS. As a key member of our Hardware Engineering Department, you will be responsible for overseeing a diverse group of Firmware and Electrical Engineers and supporting current programs and IRAD's as a technical leader.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Involved with the design, development, modification, and analysis of various electronics systems, including hardware, power engineering, power electronic engineering, electromagnetic engineering, integrated circuit engineering, components, and others.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions in existing products or systems and make modifications as needed.
  • Compile and evaluate design and test data.
  • Analyze, develop, and recommend design approaches.
  • Responsible for supervising a team of engineers on an activity and completion of activity on time and budget.
  • Ability to supervise a technical group independently.
  • Manage budget, cost, and schedule input for design assignments.
  • Drive the program design to cost and design for manufacture requirements.
  • Communicate clearly (written and oral) with other company personnel and the customer as required.
  • Participate in preparation of proposals.
  • Supervise and direct the work of others as assigned.
  • Support, communicate, reinforce, and defend the mission, values, and culture of the organization.
  • Attend appropriate engineering, customer, or business meetings.
  • Manage/supervise a team of engineers.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
  • Ability to lead and direct experience engineers.
  • Experience leading customer-funded programs and IRAD.
  • Proficiency in digital hardware design, interfaces, and architectures.
  • Understanding of project/task management and technical estimating.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • This position requires an active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance within a reasonable time after commencement of employment.
