Electrical Engineer Job Description

Riverside Research is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team in Dayton, OH. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of facilities electrical control systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide professional engineering oversight for all customer facility projects, gathering and documenting user requirements and integrating new concepts in secure workplace design.
  • Responsible for oversight of the installation and technical support of PLC-based hardware and software.
  • Write electrical specifications and create electrical diagrams and drawings.
  • Test and troubleshoot various mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Provide technical support and instruction to organization members.
  • Evaluate cost estimates and occasionally provide estimated costs for proposed projects.
  • Evaluate code compliance, review proposed layouts, and conduct periodic on-site observation of work during construction to monitor compliance with plans.
  • Work cohesively with other engineers to integrate the mechanical and electrical elements into a final product that exceeds customer expectations, ensuring that the integrated design meets the customer's goals, objectives, and security requirements.
  • Manage/support/coordinate programming, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance of facilities.
Requirements:
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI US Government Security Clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
  • Min 4 years electrical engineering experience.
  • CAD experience.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to challenging situations as they occur.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Cross-functional engineering discipline knowledge (including mechanical systems) a plus.
  • Performs a range of special projects related to Electrical Engineering project management.
Compensation:

$105,000-$140,000 This represents the typical compensation range for this position based on experience, location, and other factors.
