Job Summary

We are seeking an Administrative Support Specialist - Underwriting to join our Home Office team in Davenport, IA. As a key member of the Underwriting team, this role provides administrative and clerical support for the Home Office Underwriting department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Mail and Data Management: Handle departmental mail, including preparing, sorting, and distributing mail in a timely and effective manner.
  • Data Entry and Maintenance: Manually or electronically prepare and maintain lists or other records of data/information.
  • Accuracy and Quality Control: Ensure accuracy of department information, files, reports, and records.
  • Document Preparation: Prepare memos, letters, reports, documents, lists, or other records as needed.
  • Software Utilization: Utilize software systems in entering, accessing, or retrieving data/information from various systems.
  • Internal Services: Provide appropriate departmental services for the needs of internal customers.
  • Audits and Compliance: Provide and maintain information for internal audits.
  • Manuals and Process Maps: Maintain internal underwriting manuals and process maps.
  • Customer Service: Deliver excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
  • System Efficiency: Efficiently utilize company and departmental information systems and software to perform job responsibilities.
  • Timely Response: Respond timely to inquiries and reporting needs.
  • Teamwork: Work in a harmonious manner, accept supervision and directions, and interact in a cooperative manner with supervisors, co-workers, internal customers, and other company personnel.
Requirements:
  • Professional Experience: 2+ years of experience in a professional office setting.
  • Technical Skills: Basic understanding and application of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail.
  • Time Management: Time management skills, with ability to timely and accurately organize, prioritize, and complete responsibilities.
  • Dependability: Must be dependable and able to maintain regular, predictable attendance.
  • Overtime: Ability to work overtime as needed.
Salary Information:

The estimated salary for this position is $55,000 - $65,000 per year, based on industry standards and location.
