A Typical Day (some of the responsibilities you may undertake):
- Conduct security planning, assessments, risk analysis, and risk management support activities.
- Perform risk assessments and management to facilitate the integration of legacy systems into the current IT environment.
- Review and evaluate the cybersecurity components integrated into systems intended for operational use.
- Prepare risk assessments, action plans, authorization recommendations, and related security documentation.
- Identify and maintain overall security requirements for data protection to ensure compliance with information security protocols, activities, and controls.
- Ensure that cybersecurity functions are incorporated into the development and risk management processes, particularly those focusing on infrastructure protection and defensive IT strategies.
- Facilitate communication with clients, IT personnel, and senior corporate officers to assist in defining and achieving necessary risk management objectives for the organization.
Qualifications Required:
- Active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph Clearance.
- Compliance with DoD M is essential, with a minimum IAM Level II certification.
- A minimum of four years of experience as an IT Risk Assessor, System Security Engineer, Information Systems Security Manager, or DAO in programs and contracts of similar scale, type, and complexity.
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or IT Engineering is required, or an additional four years of experience for a total of four (4) years.
- Strong knowledge in key areas including system security design, defense-in-depth/breadth, engineering lifecycle, information domains, cross-domain solutions, controlled interfaces, identification, authentication and authorization, system integration, ICD 503 (formerly NISCAP), risk management, intrusion detection, contingency planning, incident handling, configuration control, change management, auditing, security authorization process, Cybersecurity principles, and security testing.
