Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate effective communication skills with students, faculty, and staff, maintaining professionalism and respect.
- Participate in university meetings and contribute to program development.
- Deliver engaging classroom instruction and facilitate discussions using various educational technologies.
- Clearly outline course expectations, including objectives and evaluation criteria.
- Ensure alignment of exam content with course objectives.
- Employ best practices in course design and management to promote effective learning.
- Be adaptable in teaching areas such as speech sound disorders, language development, neurogenic disorders, research methods, and dysphagia.
- Engage in service opportunities within the university and the broader community.
Qualifications:
- PhD or EdD in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
- Eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in Utah.
- ASHA certification in speech-language pathology is mandatory.
- A minimum of two years of clinical experience in speech-language pathology.
- Prior teaching experience in higher education is preferred.
