Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Pathologist to join our team at Intermountain Health. As a Speech Pathologist, you will be responsible for providing clinical services to patients with communication disorders, utilizing evidence-based practices and standards of care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Screen, test, evaluate, diagnose, and treat disorders of speech, language, cognitive communication, voice, and swallowing.
  • Consult, educate, and train patients and their caregivers.
  • Provide clinical services, utilizing standards of care and evidence-based practices, with appropriate goals, and duration and intensity of service for each patient's needs.
  • Comply with department and regulatory requirements and guidelines for all types of documentation, charging, and scheduling.
  • Supervise and educate colleagues, new employees, and students, and mentor student clinician externships and new employees.
  • Maintain effective and appropriate communication and relationships with other professionals, patients, families, and other caregivers.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current state Speech Pathologist license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers.
  • Basic computer skills (e.g., word processing and email).
  • Current certificate of clinical competence.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Speech Pathology experience.
  • Experience in a medical setting strongly preferred.
  • Experience with the target population to be treated.
Work Environment

This position is located at Intermountain Health Utah Valley Hospital in Provo, Utah. The scheduled weekly hours are 36 hours.
