Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Complex Care Psychologist to join our multidisciplinary team at Kaiser Permanente. As a key member of our team, you will provide direct clinical services to pediatric patients and their families, with a focus on completing psychosocial assessments, providing individual, group, and family interventions, and facilitating psycho-educational training and discharge planning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct evidence-based diagnostic and psychosocial assessments of children and teens.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans that incorporate pediatric-specific standardized measures of progress toward defined treatment goals.
  • Provide individual and family support and engage them in the treatment planning process.
  • Treat a variety of severe and chronic pediatric conditions, including post-traumatic stress disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.
  • Facilitate group sessions and assess and create safety plans with patients and families.
  • Collaborate with other members of the care team to develop and execute systems-based, family-centered care plans and goals.
  • Refer patients for specialty behavioral health services and higher-level services as needed.
Requirements
  • Doctorate degree in Psychology or a related behavioral health field.
  • Minimum two years of post-doctoral practice experience working with a pediatric population.
  • Psychologist License (Colorado) required at hire.
  • National Provider Identifier required at hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to function effectively in an interdisciplinary team.
  • Training in organizational behavior, human relations, behavioral interviewing, conflict resolution, mental health issues, and managing stress and crisis.
