About the Role

Zepf Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Technician to join our Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals in crisis, helping them to stabilize and return to their communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with mental health professionals to gather collateral data and provide crisis intervention services.
  • Accompany clinicians on pre-hospital screenings and provide outreach services to clients in the community.
  • Work with patients' primary psychiatrists, case managers, and counselors to facilitate their care.
  • Coordinate services, make phone calls, and provide one-on-one assistance to clients and their families.
  • Document services and maintain accurate records in our electronic health record system.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in a related field or at least three years of experience in mental health.
  • Eligibility to be a qualified mental health specialist by Ohio Medicaid.
  • A valid Ohio driver's license and eligibility to drive company vehicles.
Working Conditions

This is a 24-hour unit, and you will be required to work scheduled weekends and perform emergency overtime as needed. You must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
