About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Ascension. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures using radiopharmaceuticals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform therapeutic and diagnostic procedures to provide high-quality images for radiologists and physicians.
  • Maintain and operate cameras that detect and map radioactive drugs in a patient's body.
  • Position patients and select anatomic and technical factors accurately to ensure optimal image quality.
  • Order, prepare, administer, and dispose of radiopharmaceuticals according to established protocols.
  • Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents to our Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS).
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on imaging equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
Requirements
  • BLS Provider certification within 3 months of hire date.
  • One or more of the following certifications: Certified Nuclear Medical Tech, Radiologic Technologist specializing in Nuclear Medicine.
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience or Associate's degree/Technical degree or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.
