Job Title: Senior Registered Nurse - Oncology
Job Summary:
US Oncology, Inc is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Registered Nurse to join our team. As a Senior Registered Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our oncology practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Patient Care: Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Collaborate with Healthcare Team: Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions.
- Manage Patient Medications: Safely administer and manage patient medications, including refill requests and medication reconciliation.
- Facilitate Clinical Operations: Assist with scheduling consultations, pre-testing, diagnostic tests, and procedures, as well as coordinate referrals and future appointments.
- Communicate Effectively: Provide clear and concise communication to patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure understanding and cooperation.
- Participate in Quality Initiatives: Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices.
Requirements:
- Education: Graduate from an accredited program for professional nursing education, BSN preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience, with a strong background in oncology or a related field.
- Licensure: Current RN state license with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state.
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
