At Hackensack Meridian Health, we are committed to delivering exceptional patient care and improving the lives of our patients. As a Respiratory Therapy Team Lead, you will play a critical role in our mission to revolutionize healthcare and be a beacon of positive change.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Care and Assessment
    • Conduct thorough assessments of patients with cardio-pulmonary conditions, including respiratory care practitioners' responsibilities such as medication delivery, oxygen therapy, blood gas analysis, and ventilator management across all age groups.
    • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Leadership and Team Management
    • Assist in advocating for pulmonary services and interventions, analyzing care needs, complaints, and suggesting improvements.
    • Plan and manage staffing schedules to ensure efficient completion of tasks and maintain appropriate staffing levels.
    • Orient and evaluate new staff, provide training, and act as a resource for problem-solving.
  • Quality and Performance Improvement
    • Collect and present information accurately and within set time frames.
    • Review ABG controls, reports on performance, and maintains ABG analyzers.
  • Operational Excellence
    • Maintain equipment and supplies to ensure optimal patient care.
    • Complete other assigned duties and projects, adhering to organizational competencies and standards.
    Requirements
    • Education and Experience
      • Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
      • Minimum of 5 years of adult critical care experience.
    • Certifications and Licenses
      • NJ Respiratory Care Practitioner License.
      • Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certification.
      • AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification.
