Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Service Representative to join our team at Northern Light Inland Hospital. As the first point of contact for patients and visitors, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth experience for our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Schedule and reschedule patient appointments based on physician availability
  • Greets visitors and patients, providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere
  • Answers telephones, responds to messages, and maintains accurate records
  • Processes patient registration data, updates patient accounts, and photocopies documents as needed
  • Pre-certifies patients, processes referrals, and transcribes letters and memos
  • Maintains computer backups, processes mail, and responds to insurance company calls
  • Corrects and edits transcriptions, stocks and orders supplies, and adheres to hospital hand hygiene standards
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) required
Working Conditions
  • Potential exposure to abusive or aggressive individuals
  • Work with computers, typing, reading, and writing
  • Lifting, moving, and loading 20-30 pounds
  • Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and walking
