Maintenance Supervisor Job Description

Job Summary:

The Maintenance Supervisor is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the maintenance operations on 3rd shift in our Ripon, WI facilities. This position plays a crucial part in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our equipment and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of maintenance technicians to execute maintenance tasks, establish a reliability focus, and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Execute the maintenance process, ensuring adherence to established policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Provide technical assistance, training, and leadership to the maintenance team.
  • Supervise assigned personnel, direct day-to-day activities, and execute unit goals and objectives.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as safety, asset utilization, maintenance cost, PM compliance, and schedule compliance.
  • Assist in scoping corrective work orders with the Maintenance Planners.
  • Manage and develop weekly schedules for shift technicians and prioritize emergency jobs as needed.
  • Evaluate team member performance and encourage continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Associate degree in Engineering, Electro-Mechanical, or Business Management (or significant experience and special training in lieu of a degree).
  • At least 5 years of maintenance experience in a skilled position and 2 or more years of experience as a Maintenance Supervisor/Team Leader.
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and facilities equipment, with the ability to fluently read and understand prints in all areas.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and the functionality of equipment (stamping, automated fabrication, machining, paint process) in those processes.
  • Excellent organization and leadership skills.
  • Excellent teaming and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to work on several assignments simultaneously and effectively.

Physical Requirements:

  • Stooping, bending, standing for long periods of time, manual dexterity, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance.
