As a Clinical Engineer Technician II, you will engage with a diverse range of medical devices, including critical life-support systems such as anesthesia machines, ventilators, and dialysis equipment. Your role will ensure that our technology is functioning optimally, contributing to the health and safety of our patients.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver routine and specialized clinical engineering services, including installation, maintenance, and repair of medical equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment, service history, and inventory management.
- Work in conjunction with IT personnel to ensure seamless integration of medical equipment with information systems.
- Conduct preventative maintenance and address repairs as necessary.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Education:
- Associate's degree in Biomedical or Electronic Engineering is required.
- Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- A combination of a high school diploma/GED with relevant experience may be considered.
Certifications:
- Preferred certifications include Certified Clinical Engineer (CCE) or Biomedical Engineering Technologist (BMET).
Work Experience:
- Minimum of two years of experience in a clinical engineering role or four years in a related technical field.
- Equivalent military training may be accepted in lieu of formal education.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and navigate various physical environments.
- Manual dexterity for handling tools and small components.
- Visual acuity to interpret technical schematics and color codes.
The hourly pay range for this position is between $27.65 and $42.17, reflecting the anticipated range for new hires. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, and education.
