Nursing Care Specialist

About the Role
As a Nursing Care Specialist at Cleveland Clinic, you will provide exceptional nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic or therapeutic services in various healthcare settings. Your expertise will be invaluable in assessing patients, completing nursing assessments, and documenting findings in patient records. You will also be responsible for notifying physicians of abnormal findings and performing telephone triage and call rotations. Additionally, you will establish care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and the healthcare team, and coordinate ongoing care to ensure seamless transitions. Your dedication to delivering high-quality patient care will make a significant difference in the lives of our patients.
Responsibilities
• Assess patients and complete nursing assessments
• Document findings in patient records and notify physicians of abnormal findings
• Perform telephone triage and call rotations
• Establish care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and the healthcare team
• Coordinate ongoing care to ensure seamless transitions
• Evaluate, initiate, and maintain standards of care
• Educate patients and families
Requirements
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• One year of recent experience as an RN
Preferred Qualifications
• Two years of recent experience as an RN
Physical Requirements
This role requires full range of body motion, including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. You will also be required to stand and walk for extended periods of time. Corrected vision and hearing to normal range are also necessary. You will work under stressful conditions and irregular hours, and may be exposed to communicable diseases and/or body fluids. Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
