**Job Summary**

Capitol View Transitional Care Center, a state-of-the-art transitional care unit located within Regions Hospital and part of the HealthPartners organization, seeks a skilled Physical Therapist to provide quality care to patients aged 18 and above requiring short-term stays. Our average length of stay is 17 days.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Develop and administer medically prescribed physical therapy treatment plans for adult and geriatric patients suffering from injuries or muscle, nerve, joint, and bone diseases to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability.
  • Accurately test and measure patients' strength, motor development, sensory perception, functional capacity, respiratory and circulatory efficiency, and response to treatment and development needs.
  • Design and implement treatment plans and goals tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Instruct and motivate patients to perform various physical activities and collaborate with licensed Physical Therapists to advance or modify established goals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

**Work Schedule and Requirements**

**FTE:** 0.0; on-call/casual

**Work Schedule:** On-call/casual; 8am-4:30pm; Required to work one weekend per month.

**Required Qualifications**

  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a degree as a physical therapist assistant.
  • Licensed and registered Physical Therapist with an unrestricted license to practice in the State of Minnesota.

**Benefits**

Benefits are available for non-union staff working 24 hours (0.6 FTE) or union staff working 32 hours (0.8 FTE) per week and are effective the first of the month after 30 days of employment.
