Job Title: Route Sales Support Driver

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Route Sales Support Driver to join our team at Aramark Uniform Services. As a Route Sales Support Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a company step van in designated areas to provide products and services to a variety of clients. You will also be responsible for verifying daily preventative maintenance of the vehicle and maintaining proper operator documentation, managing daily routes independently to ensure accurate and timely delivery of products, loading and unloading products per company policies, procedures, and guidelines, reviewing invoices daily for complete and accurate information, making corrections as needed, meeting sales goals and promoting overall route growth to enhance profitability, developing leads and prospects, calling on prospective customers to solicit business, preparing service agreements, and installing new accounts.

Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate a company step van in designated areas to provide products and services to a variety of clients.
  • Verify daily preventative maintenance of the vehicle and maintain proper operator documentation.
  • Manage daily routes independently to ensure accurate and timely delivery of products.
  • Load and unload products per company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Review invoices daily for complete and accurate information and make corrections as needed.
  • Meet sales goals and promote overall route growth to enhance profitability.
  • Develop leads and prospects, calling on prospective customers to solicit business, preparing service agreements, and installing new accounts.

Requirements:

  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
  • Have a valid driver's license with three years of driving experience.
  • Excellent driving record.
  • Customer service experience with a wide variety of consistent customer contact.
  • Strong math and basic computer skills.
  • Demonstrated experience selling services/products and generating new business preferred.
  • Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills required.
  • Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and think quickly to identify/solve customer concerns.

Working Environment/Safety Requirements:

Working Conditions Exposure to adverse and varying weather conditions which may include extreme hot/cold temperatures depending on geographical location. A fast-paced environment sometimes requires irregular and long hours. Physical Requirements Must be able to routinely lift and maneuver a minimum of 25 lbs. and load/unload product from truck without assistance. Must be able to occasionally lift and maneuver 50+ lbs. This position requires bending, squatting, climbing, and reaching.

Education: High school degree or equivalent
