Job Title: Quality Assurance Coordinator

The Quality Assurance Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of our products. This position is responsible for monitoring product quality and compliance with all food safety and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct incoming and finished product inspections to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
  • Conduct daily GMP inspections to identify and address any deviations from good manufacturing practices.
  • Monitor plant Critical Control Points and report on daily paperwork to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct daily pre-op inspections to ensure equipment and facilities are in good working condition.
  • Inspect returned product and place it on hold if necessary, monitoring held product for proper disposal or reconditioning.
  • Monitor environmental temperatures in production and warehouse areas to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Responsible for weekly thermometer calibration and daily scale calibration to ensure accuracy and precision.
  • Ensure safety, sanitation, regulatory requirements, and GMPs are followed at all times.
  • Assist with conducting crew training for food safety and/or regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in the HACCP team to identify and address potential food safety hazards.
  • Collect and maintain records of all labels used, including filling out label logs.
  • Check knives in and out daily to ensure proper handling and storage.
  • Assist in production as needed to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements:
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) to maintain accurate records and reports.
  • Familiar with current Good Manufacturing Practices and food safety regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Familiar with HACCP principles and CCPs in plant to identify and address potential food safety hazards.
  • Good written communication skills to effectively communicate with colleagues and management.
  • Ability to work a demanding schedule, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
  • Able to work in cold and wet conditions, as well as a fast-paced production environment.
  • Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with people of all levels and roles, including management, colleagues, and external partners.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, collaborating with colleagues to achieve common goals.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and set a good example for colleagues.
  • Must be adaptable to the unpredictable needs of a production environment.
  • Have a working knowledge of production operations to effectively assist in production as needed.
Salary and Benefits:

The salary range for this position is $20.00 to $22.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. Additionally, we offer company-sponsored medical and dental coverage, 401K with company match, and paid vacation time.
