Job Title: Quality Assurance Coordinator

The Quality Assurance Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring the quality and safety of our products. This position is responsible for monitoring product quality and compliance with all food safety and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct incoming and finished product inspections to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
  • Monitor plant Critical Control Points and report on daily paperwork to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct daily pre-op inspections to ensure a safe and clean production environment.
  • Inspect returned product and place it on hold if necessary, monitoring it for proper disposal or reconditioning.
  • Monitor environmental temperatures in production and warehouse areas to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Responsible for weekly thermometer calibration and daily scale calibration to ensure accurate measurements.
  • Ensure safety, sanitation, regulatory requirements, and GMP's are followed at all times.
  • Assist with conducting crew training for food safety and/or regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in the HACCP team to ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
  • Collect and maintain records of all labels used, including filling out a label log.
  • Check knives in and out daily to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Provide support in production as needed to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements:
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) to maintain accurate records and reports.
  • Familiar with current Good Manufacturing Practices and food safety regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Familiar with HACCP principles and CCP's in plant to ensure food safety.
  • Good written communication skills to effectively communicate with colleagues and management.
  • Ability to work a demanding schedule, including working in cold and wet conditions.
  • Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with people of all levels and roles to ensure smooth operations.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and maintain a positive attitude.
  • Adaptability to the unpredictable needs of a production environment.
  • Working knowledge of production operations to provide support as needed.
