Job Summary:

The Portfolio Manager, Fixed Income will be responsible for conducting in-depth valuations of US and Global investment grade corporations. This role will contribute to the implementation of portfolio strategy and structure for all mandates based on deep knowledge of portfolio holdings, a deep understanding of portfolio construction principles, and fixed income asset classes. Additionally, this role will liaise with external third-party managers as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Anticipates, identifies and interprets market opportunities and risks across fixed income asset classes, and applies learned knowledge to deliver investment excellence
  • Manages actively and passively managed investment-grade strategies which include mutual funds, institutional portfolios, SMAs, and UMAs
  • Effectively collaborates with members of the fixed income investments and trading teams as well as other internal partners at TD Asset Management, TD Epoch and TD Bank
  • Consistently delivers timely monthly and quarterly reporting to our business partners
Requirements:

  • Must have a bachelor's degree and CFA, MBA desirable
  • 5+ years of fixed income portfolio or investment analysis experience with a financial services firm
  • A thorough understanding of fixed income instruments and financial markets, especially IG credit
  • Strong people skills, clear communication and presentation skills, team oriented, and the desire and ability to work with business partners across the organization
  • Strong analytical and technology skills along with the ability to learn new internal systems (advanced knowledge of Excel (VBA) and Bloomberg (API and BQL), and experience with BondEdge is a plus)
