Compensation: $14.42/hr plus tips and commission

Location: Durango, Colorado

Position Summary

We are seeking enthusiastic Onboard Concessions Attendants who are passionate about providing exceptional service and enjoy engaging with guests. These individuals serve as the welcoming face of our railroad, taking on roles such as bartenders, tour guides, and sales representatives aboard the train. They share the rich history of the Durango & Silverton with our visitors while offering a selection of non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages, food items, and souvenirs.

Key Responsibilities

Essential Duties:

  • Deliver exemplary customer service to train passengers in a dynamic environment.
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels and ensure product availability.
  • Process cash and credit card transactions with accuracy and care.
  • Uphold a clean and safe workspace.
  • Communicate effectively in front of groups.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
Qualifications

Education, Skills, and Experience:

  • Proficient in handling cash and credit transactions.
  • Experience with cash registers and point-of-sale systems is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Multilingual abilities are a plus but not required.
  • Basic math skills are essential.
Work Environment
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, approximately 10 hours daily.
  • Capability to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and additional hours as needed.
  • Comfortable standing and walking on uneven surfaces aboard a moving train.
  • Ideal candidates should not experience motion sickness.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
