KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Maintain knowledge of and adhere to safety protocols, procedures, and emergency response plans, prioritizing safety at all times.
  2. Encourage membership growth and develop front desk staff through training, coaching, and exemplary service.
  3. Serve as a primary point of contact for families and staff, exemplifying the core values of Respect, Caring, Responsibility, and Honesty.
  4. Act as a role model for a cause-driven organization, demonstrating passion for quality service.
  5. Maintain a positive and service-oriented attitude in this supportive role.
  6. Foster long-term relationships with all stakeholders associated with the YMCA.
  7. Innovate in task completion and assist management in problem-solving.
  8. Be available to cover shifts to ensure a membership specialist is present during operational hours.
  9. Assist with various membership types, including Silver Sneakers and corporate memberships.
  10. Address member inquiries and concerns, managing correspondence effectively.
  11. Perform administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, ordering supplies, and processing program registrations and payments.
  12. Maintain order and assist members while guiding staff in their duties, focusing on attracting new members and minimizing cancellations.
  13. Achieve and surpass membership satisfaction and retention targets.
  14. Handle all front desk operations, including scanning membership cards and welcoming members.
  15. Communicate and promote programs by identifying members' needs and suggesting suitable options.
  16. Execute other clerical tasks as assigned.
  17. Apply YMCA rules and policies uniformly to all individuals utilizing the facility.
  18. Document unusual occurrences and inform relevant personnel as directed.
  19. Maintain certifications in First Aid, CPR, and AED, ensuring familiarity with safety and emergency procedures to respond effectively in crises.
  20. Contact appropriate authorities in the event of emergencies or unusual situations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Must be at least 18 years old.
  2. High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  3. Experience in leadership roles preferred.
  4. Commitment to the Ozarks Regional YMCA and its goals, consistently demonstrating the YMCA's core values.
  5. Mature, responsible individuals with strong communication skills.
  6. Ability to engage positively with both children and adults in a flexible and enthusiastic manner.
  7. CPR Pro & First Aid Certification must be obtained within the first 30 days (training provided).
