GENERAL PURPOSE OF POSITION:

As a vital member of the back-of-house team, the Sales Representative will manage incoming inventory in accordance with company protocols. Responsibilities in this role may include unloading delivery trucks, processing apparel (including hanging, tagging, and sizing), and managing footwear.

On the sales floor, this role is essential for ensuring a seamless transition of products from the receiving area to the display areas, maintaining a well-stocked environment with new merchandise that aligns with company standards. The Sales Representative collaborates closely with the Merchandising Team to uphold the continuous flow of products.

Deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining a high level of professionalism.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain cleanliness in the dock, assembly line, and tagging/sizing stations.
  • Organize empty fixtures and supplies for efficient freight processing.
  • Ensure adequate supply of hangers and other necessary fixtures.
  • Prioritize backlog cartons for processing, following company guidelines.
  • Unload trucks, dismantle pallets, and efficiently move cartons to designated areas.
  • Utilize hand trucks to transport shipments from the receiving platform to storage or work areas.
  • Perform tasks including scanning cartons, unpacking items, verifying labels, and sorting merchandise.
  • Prepare items for display by ticketing, tagging, and applying size rings as needed.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

Ability to:

  • Provide outstanding customer service.
  • Lift and move items weighing up to 40 pounds or more.
  • Utilize computer systems for receiving data and processing transactions.
  • Accurately complete documentation and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Communicate clearly and listen attentively.
  • Operate necessary equipment to perform job functions.
  • Stand for extended periods and handle merchandise as required.

REQUIREMENTS:

Previous experience in receiving or warehouse operations within a retail environment is preferred. Candidates must be available to meet the minimum scheduling requirements set by the company. Physical capability to stand for long periods and handle merchandise is essential.

Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and follow-through skills are necessary for success in this role.
