Key Responsibilities
- Enhance User Proficiency. Design and implement training programs in diverse formats, including in-person, virtual, and hybrid models, to elevate users' skills in ArcGIS software globally. Identify skill gaps and provide targeted training sessions and workshops. Offer continuous support to users, addressing inquiries and assisting them in overcoming obstacles. Stay informed about the latest trends and advancements in GIS to keep training materials relevant.
- Promote Sustainable GIS Practices. Collaborate with clients to comprehend their operational processes and needs. Provide insights and training on best practices for establishing sustainable GIS workflows. Conduct workshops to educate clients on effective GIS practices and assist them in navigating challenges related to workflow sustainability.
- Advocate for ArcGIS Adoption. Actively encourage the integration of ArcGIS within client organizations. Identify potential applications of ArcGIS in various operational contexts and demonstrate its benefits through effective facilitation. Develop and conduct training sessions to showcase ArcGIS capabilities, tailoring solutions to meet specific client requirements.
- Articulate the Value of GIS. Create compelling narratives and visual representations to communicate the significance of GIS. Collaborate with content teams to produce engaging materials, such as case studies and success stories. Present the advantages of GIS to clients, staying abreast of industry developments to provide insights on the broader implications of GIS across different sectors.
- 8+ years of experience utilizing Esri's software, particularly ArcGIS Desktop and/or ArcGIS Pro.
- 2+ years of experience in instructional delivery and classroom facilitation.
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities while prioritizing learner needs.
- Strong listening skills and a commitment to incorporating feedback for continuous improvement.
- Proven track record of collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to travel up to 20% for onsite training sessions.
- Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, Computer Science, Physical Sciences, Engineering, Information Science, or a related field.
- Familiarity with online meeting platforms.
- Completion of Esri technical and facilitation certifications.
- Demonstrated ability in technical writing.
- Willingness to travel up to 40%, including international engagements.
- Master's degree in Geography, GIS, Computer Science, Physical Sciences, Engineering, Information Science, or a related field.
Esri offers a competitive total rewards package, including comprehensive health benefits, retirement plans, paid time off, and opportunities for professional development. The base salary range for this position is $83,200-$130,000 USD, taking into account various factors such as experience and qualifications.
