As a PET/CT Imaging Specialist, you will play a critical role in producing high-quality diagnostic images, ensuring patient safety and satisfaction, and collaborating with radiologists to diagnose and treat patients with pinpoint accuracy.
Key Responsibilities- Patient Safety and Satisfaction: Ensure patient comfort, safety, and satisfaction by explaining procedures, pre-screening for contraindications, and using aseptic injection techniques.
- Diagnostic Imaging: Produce high-quality diagnostic images using PET/CT scanners, selecting appropriate software options and imaging parameters to achieve the best possible results.
- Collaboration and Communication: Effectively communicate with patients, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and accurate diagnoses.
- Equipment Maintenance: Troubleshoot and maintain PET/CT scanners, coach, and peripheral equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Education: High School Diploma or Associate's Degree in a related field.
- Certification: Certification in Nuclear Medicine by the NMTCB or ARRT (N) required, with a state license as required.
- Experience: 1-2 years of PET imaging experience or 1-2 years of experience in Nuclear Medicine procedures and studies preferred.
