Position Overview

As a Service Vehicle Maintenance Specialist at Club Car, you will engage in a variety of tasks each day, focusing on the upkeep, diagnostics, and repair of golf carts and utility vehicles across diverse settings and conditions. Your role will involve performing both mechanical and electrical repairs on vehicles that may be under service agreements or warranties. You will coordinate all activities with the local management team.

Key Responsibilities:

- Primarily based in the Ventura County area, with expectations to service surrounding regions.
- Utilize your mechanical expertise to repair both electric and gas-powered vehicles.
- Maintain accurate inventory records of parts and tools.
- Hold a valid driver's license free of violations, with experience in operating a company vehicle, including towing trailers.
- Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills when interacting with customers and colleagues.
- Engage directly with customers, providing exceptional service and support.
- Work collaboratively with team members while also being able to operate independently with minimal supervision.
- Adapt to changes in work environments and processes as necessary.
- Adhere to all Club Car policies and procedures.
- Previous experience in golf cart repairs is preferred.
- Be prepared for potential out-of-town travel and overnight assignments, as well as overtime and weekend/holiday work.

Qualifications:

- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions effectively.
- Proficient in reading, writing, and communicating in English.
- Strong customer service skills, both verbal and written.
- Comfortable using computers and mobile devices, including software applications.
- Expected to provide standard tools for the job.
- Capable of lifting up to 75 pounds at waist height, with frequent lifting, twisting, bending, squatting, and turning.
- Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous.

Driver's License Requirements:

- Must possess a valid driver's license for at least 12 months, with no significant or frequent traffic violations, including but not limited to:

  • DUI in the last 5 years
  • Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless/Careless Driving, or multiple minor infractions or preventable collisions in the last 3 years.
Job Duties:

- Collaborate with the Team Leader and other personnel to schedule and coordinate work activities.
- Travel to customer locations as required.
- Maintain an accurate inventory in your service vehicle to meet customer demands.
- Handle all necessary paperwork or electronic documentation related to your tasks, including work orders and parts requests.
- Operate and maintain the company vehicle safely at all times.
- Comply with all local, state, and federal regulations.
- Inspect, test, and repair all Club Car vehicles according to the manufacturer's specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance on all Club Car vehicles as needed.
- Interpret electrical wiring diagrams and troubleshooting flowcharts.
- Support local sales initiatives.
- Ensure that both company and personal tools are kept in optimal working condition.
- Effectively communicate service and repair needs to customers.
- Understand and follow complex service and warranty processes.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
