Key Responsibilities:
- Repair and Rework Coordination: Collaborate with Quality Control inspectors to reverse engineer parts for repair or replacement, ensuring timely determination of repair scope.
- Disassembly and Cleaning Process: Coordinate the disassembly and cleaning process for gearboxes to facilitate efficient repair and rework.
- Estimation and Reporting: Create detailed reports and estimates to support customer service with quotation processes.
- Manufacturing Support: Provide technical support to manufacturing, including disassembly and assembly of gearboxes, ensuring all customer requirements are met.
- Customer Site Visits: Occasionally visit customer sites to review equipment or provide technical presentations.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in 3D modeling software (preferably AutoCAD Inventor) and knowledge/experience with gear machining and manufacturing processes.
- Industry Experience: Experience in the mechanical drive/power transmission industry, with a strong understanding of bearings, shafting, oil seals, and supporting housing.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of the company.
- Computer Literacy: Proficient in MS Office applications, with design experience in Inventor/AutoCAD a plus.
