We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Pump Mechanic Trainee to join our team at DXP Enterprises. As a Pump Mechanic Trainee, you will play a vital role in assisting our experienced mechanics in the maintenance and repair of industrial equipment, with a focus on pumps and rotating machinery.
Key Responsibilities- Assist senior mechanics in the disassembly, inspection, and repair of pumps and rotating equipment
- Perform general shop duties, including cleaning and maintaining equipment
- Assist with the upkeep of shop equipment and tools
- Work overtime as needed to meet business demands
- Make deliveries and pickups as required
- Remove and replace pumps and motors as part of routine maintenance
- Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
- Above-average math skills and attention to detail
- Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy equipment and tools
This is a full-time position working in a shop environment. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
