About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Pump Technician to join our team at DXP Enterprises. As a key member of our industrial services team, you will be responsible for the repair, fabrication, installation, and removal of industrial pumps and related rotating equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Repair and maintain a variety of centrifugal, gear, diaphragm, and reciprocating industrial pumps, as well as gear reducers and other related rotating equipment.
  • Install and remove pumps and equipment in-house or in the field, ensuring efficient and safe operations.
  • Collaborate with customers and internal teams to identify and resolve equipment issues, providing expert technical guidance and support.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices, participating in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
Requirements
  • Must be mechanically inclined and have a strong understanding of industrial pump systems and rotating equipment.
  • Experience repairing industrial pumps and rotating equipment, or a validated technical training course in a related field (diesel, industrial maintenance, or commercial HVAC).
  • Industrial pump knowledge is preferred, but training is available for the right candidate.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with customers and colleagues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Team player with a strong work ethic and ability to achieve results in a collaborative environment.
  • Able to operate a forklift and meet physical demands of the role, including lifting up to 100 pounds with assistance.
  • Background check, physical, and drug test required, as well as an acceptable driving record according to company guidelines.
