Key Responsibilities:
1. Learning and Development:
Acquire the necessary skills for the role of Pre-Analytical Assistant I, while gaining insights into the interconnected functions of Tech Operations and Specimen Processing, and their influence on technical departments and quality outcomes.
2. Problem Identification:
Recognize issues related to specimen types, incomplete information, and other factors affecting the sorting, racking, centrifuging, delivery, and storage of specimens; take initiative to resolve or escalate information to ensure prompt problem resolution.
3. Compliance Understanding:
Develop a thorough understanding of compliance regulations associated with test ordering, which includes the ability to research test order details using translation tables, computer systems, and service directories.
4. Quality Standards:
Achieve quality and production benchmarks within six months of completing training.
5. Documentation:
Complete all necessary written documentation in a manner that is clear, legible, and submitted within the designated time frame.
6. Attendance and Support:
Adhere to punctuality and attendance policies; contribute to the department's performance during coworker absences.
7. Skill Advancement:
Acquire additional competencies within Tech Operations and Specimen Processing to facilitate timely advancement to the next level.
