About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Prisma Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Assist physicians with examinations, procedures, and other activities related to direct patient care.
  2. Arrange for patient appointments for diagnostic testing, consults, referrals, and admission to hospital.
  3. Monitor and maintain stock of medical supplies and proper functioning of equipment.
  4. Document patient's vital statistics and other encounter data into patient chart and ensure that all required records are in the chart.
  5. Call in prescriptions for patients according to physician order.
  6. Prepare exam rooms with appropriate instruments, supplies, and equipment.
  7. Receive and return clinically related telephone calls; screening and forwarding those requiring physician action.
  8. Complete medical/physical history forms and other related information for insurance companies.
  9. Inform physician of changes in schedule.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Nursing. BSN preferred.
  • Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in South Carolina.

Work Environment

Day shift, working in a dynamic and supportive environment at Heritage Peds/Int Med - Wren.
