Job Overview

The Michigan Certification Board for Addiction Professionals (MCBAP) is seeking a skilled Credentialing Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in ensuring that credentialing applications meet all required standards.

This role involves reviewing applications, issuing certificates, and maintaining clear communication with applicants through various channels. You will also provide informational sessions, represent MCBAP at events, and manage various office functions to support our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review applications via the online portal to ensure they meet all MCBAP requirements.
  • Create and mail paper certificates to applicants who meet the requirements.
  • Communicate with applicants through telephone, virtual sessions, in-person meetings, email, and the online chat function.
  • Provide informational sessions about MCBAP to individuals, agencies, universities, and other entities as requested.
  • Represent MCBAP at vendor booths.
  • Manage office functions, including ordering office supplies and promotional items, maintaining a shared calendar, processing incoming mail, contacting vendors for service, and uploading exam score reports to the online portal.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Knowledge of MCBAP credentials and substance use disorder services preferred.
  • Previous office experience preferred.
  • MCBAP credential preferred.
  • Valid State of Michigan driver's license required.

Working Conditions:

  • Sitting for long periods, frequent walking, and occasional reaching, bending, kneeling, or stretching.
  • Manual dexterity to operate office equipment and keyboarding.
  • Normal or corrected-to-normal range of sight and hearing.
  • Ability to carry work-related materials up to forty (40) pounds.
