About the Position

Hennepin County is seeking a skilled IT Voice Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Information Technology department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our voice solutions.

This is a full-time, benefit-earning position that requires a strong background in IT and voice communication systems. You will work closely with our team to ensure the reliability, performance, and security of our voice communication infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deploy Cisco Unified Communications solutions
  • Perform regular maintenance, updates, and troubleshooting of voice systems
  • Provide tier 2 and 3 support for voice communication issues
  • Document system configurations, processes, and procedures
  • Collaborate with vendors and service providers to manage service agreements and technical support
  • Lead or participate in voice-related projects

Requirements:

  • Seven years or more of information technology experience
  • Associate/vocational/technical degree in computer science, engineering, or a related information technology field and five years or more of information technology experience
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, management information systems, data engineering, business intelligence, data analytics, or a related information technology field and three years or more of information technology experience
  • One of the following current Cisco certifications: Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Collaboration, Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Collaboration, or Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) Collaboration
