Immediate Supervisor: Store Manager

Status: Full-time; Hourly

Key Responsibilities:

As a vital member of our operations, you will report directly to the store manager, ensuring the safety, sales, profitability, and smooth functioning of our wholesale/retail landscaping depot. Your role will involve operating machinery such as forklifts and loaders while delivering exceptional customer service.

Primary Duties:

  • Adhere to the ALL4Zero Safety Program, promoting a culture of zero injuries.
  • Follow company policies and procedures diligently.
  • This is a hands-on role; you will work both indoors and outdoors to meet customer needs.
  • Conduct daily safety and preventive maintenance checks on equipment, including forklifts and delivery vehicles.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the store and yard to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for customers.
  • Engage with customers to assist with their orders in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Support the store manager with routine inventory checks and ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Deliver products to customer locations using the company delivery vehicle (CDL license not required).
  • Operate forklifts and loaders to transport materials as needed.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED, or 1-3 years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Certifications: A valid Florida driver's license and a clean driving record are required. Forklift certification is preferred.

Communication Skills:

  • Ability to read and interpret safety policies, operational instructions, and other procedural documents. Effective verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Proficiency in English is required; bilingual skills in English and Spanish are preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Work hours are Monday to Friday from 7 AM to 5 PM and Saturday from 8 AM to 12 Noon.
  • Regularly required to communicate verbally and audibly.
  • Frequent standing, using hands for handling or feeling, reaching, walking, sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling is necessary.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

  • While performing job duties, you may be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and various weather conditions.
  • Noise levels may vary from moderate to loud, especially near machinery.
