Medical Care Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Care Specialist to join our team at United Digestive. As a Medical Care Specialist, you will be responsible for providing medical assistance to patients in office and in hospital, and receiving training and direction from practice physicians.
The ideal candidate will have a Master of Medical Science, Physician Assistant or Master of Science in Nursing, Nurse Practitioner required, adult or acute care Nurse Practitioner. GI experience is preferred, however, new graduates are welcome to apply. Must be computer literate and able to operate Practice Management software and multiple Microsoft Office applications.
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Running daily GI outpatient clinic
- Accurately providing and counseling patients with information for medical treatment or procedures
- Answering emails and voicemails and returning patient calls in a timely and efficient manner
- Abiding by and promoting HIPAA compliance; maintaining strictest confidentiality with regards to patient information
United Digestive is a large, well-established organization with 130 physicians, 85 Mid-level Providers, and 19 endoscopy centers in the southeast. GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES
Responsible for providing medical assistance to patients in office and in hospital, and receives training and direction from practice physicians.
RESPONSIBILITIES

REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE
Master of Medical Science, Physician Assistant or Master of Science in Nursing, Nurse Practitioner required, adult or acute care Nurse Practitioner.
