§ Directs and evaluates the design of streamlined manufacturing workflows utilizing advanced systems and simulation methodologies to maximize the efficiency of space, machinery, materials, and workforce.

§ Remains updated on emerging manufacturing technologies and equipment; identifies opportunities for cost reduction through innovative designs and methodologies.
§ Assesses modifications in processes; evaluates impacts on production and product quality; implements enhancements to minimize expenses and boost productivity.
§ Applies lean manufacturing principles; embraces continuous improvement for new designs and revisions to existing processes.
§ Facilitates the introduction of current and new products through system designs and necessary updates; seeks cost-saving measures and other efficiency opportunities.
§ Reviews and ensures that suppliers and subcontractors deliver products, components, and services in accordance with specified standards; assists in evaluating potential vendors/subcontractors.
§ Collaborates with operations to implement quality and process enhancements and support new product development; applies scientific principles to assess process efficiencies.
§ Oversees significant projects, processes, and performance documentation; maintains comprehensive records; ensures proper document version control.
§ Manages the team of Process Engineers; oversees workload, performance, and daily supervision; mentors team members for personal growth and potential career advancement; provides performance feedback for merit evaluations and other relevant employment actions.
§ Partners with other managerial teams to allocate suitable engineering resources for projects and processes; considers project costs, scale, and complexity.
§ Acts as a liaison to Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) firms for capital expenditure and operational projects.
§ Develops the annual capital plan and budget for process engineering; ensures expenditures align with the budget; monitors spending; reports any discrepancies in costs, timelines, and overall plans to management.
§ Collaborates with other technical leaders to establish priorities for capital and operational projects and allocate appropriate resources; maintains monthly, quarterly, and annual operational reports; delivers relevant data to management.
§ Engages key resources across Operations and other departments to identify and lead Continuous Improvement initiatives; promotes strategies to enhance safety, quality, cost, and reliability.
§ Conducts gap analyses to pinpoint future technological advancements for processes or the entire facility.
§ Evaluates process efficiency, quality, and safety; recommends improvements as necessary.
§ Supports incident investigations; offers suggestions as appropriate; participates in risk management assessments.
§ Complies with all safety protocols and practices relevant to the role; engages in necessary safety training; demonstrates commitment to and advocacy for Environmental, Health, Safety, and Sustainability (EHSS) principles and values; champions safety consistently; participates in or leads safety initiatives as appropriate.
§ Undertakes additional responsibilities as assigned by management that generally align with the expected scope of this position.

Required Experience & Skills
§ At least 10 years in chemical manufacturing.
§ Minimum of 10 years' experience in a process engineering setting with a focus on projects.
§ Expertise in process design.
§ At least 8 years of leadership experience.
§ Experience as a Process Engineer.
§ Current knowledge of process engineering design, project execution, and OSHA regulations related to engineering design.
§ Proven ability to cultivate trusting relationships; capable of managing, motivating, coaching, and collaborating with others.
§ Strong organizational skills; adept at prioritizing in a fast-paced environment; goal-oriented; skilled in influencing and negotiation.
§ Effective time management skills are essential.
§ Ability to work collaboratively across functions.
§ Capacity to mentor and guide others in project management, technology, and process design.
§ High levels of enthusiasm and motivation are required.
§ Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and follow through on assignments.
§ Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite; capable of using database systems, CAD software, and other applications relevant to this position and at the company.
§ Proficient in English, including reading, writing, and speaking; capable of communicating clearly at all organizational levels.
Educational Background
§ Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, preferably in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
§ Professional Engineer Certification is highly desirable.
§ Six Sigma Certification is a plus.
