Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive designs for plumbing and fire protection systems, encompassing schematic conceptualization, load calculations, equipment selection, layouts, piping, and specification writing.
  • Ensure the production of fully complete construction documents.
  • Evaluate and interpret design verification data effectively.
  • Meet project budgets, timelines, and performance standards in a dynamic work environment.
  • Assist in coordinating design verification tasks, including the assignment of roles and responsibilities.
  • Proactively communicate potential issues to senior engineering staff as necessary.
  • Provide technical guidance or design advice when required.
  • Collaborate with external vendors regarding product oversight, timelines, and quality assurance as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited program.
  • EIT registration or P.E. license is highly preferred.
  • Exceptional organizational skills are essential.
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in a consulting engineering or architectural/engineering firm.
  • Proven experience as an HVAC/Plumbing designer.
  • Familiarity with creating MEP construction design documents using Autodesk Revit.
