Job Summary

The Field Ops Supervisor is a key member of our operations team, responsible for supervising yard and transportation operations. This role requires a strong leader who can manage and coordinate all activities for the yard, supervise technicians, and work closely with other departments to ensure excellent communication and customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate all activities for the yard, including supervising technicians and ensuring efficient operations
  • Work with the Operations Coordinator and Routers to coordinate routes, pick-ups, and deliveries to optimize routing efficiencies
  • Analyze and report on operational activities, including routing efficiency, labor and overtime, fuel, and quality of customer care
  • Work directly with other departments to resolve customer service and other issues
  • Maintain proper staffing levels to meet and exceed customer and branch needs
  • Assist the Operations Manager with coordinating logistics for special events and works
  • Review and approve paperwork from drivers, including manifests, P&D tickets, route sheets, and DVIRs
  • Responsible for fleet DOT administration, including log books and record maintenance
  • Responsible for the administration of the Company's safety program for the driver function
  • Responsible for employee development and conducting periodic performance reviews
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a related field and/or training
  • Minimum of 2 years of proven leadership experience leading a diverse team to accomplish results
  • Customer service and team building skills
  • Organization, communication, and decision-making skills
  • Valid driver's license
