Elevance Health is seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Health Medical Director to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for the administration of behavioral health medical services, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective care to our members.
About the Role
- Develop and implement programs to improve quality, cost, and outcomes in behavioral health services.
- Provide clinical consultation and serve as a clinical/strategic advisor to enhance clinical operations.
- Conduct peer-to-peer clinical reviews with attending physicians or other providers to discuss review determinations.
- Serve as a resource and consultant to other areas of the company.
- Represent the company to external entities and/or serve on internal and/or external committees.
Requirements
- MD or DO and Board certification approved by American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry.
- Active unrestricted medical license to practice medicine or a health profession.
- Minimum of 10 years of child & adolescent psychiatry clinical experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
