Role Summary:

As an Affordable Housing Community Manager, you will be instrumental in managing the daily operations and upkeep of our affordable housing properties. Your key responsibilities will include ensuring resident satisfaction, maintaining optimal occupancy levels, and adhering to the operational standards of our housing community.

The Affordable Housing Community Manager is responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant leasing regulations and enforcing internal policies for residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Resident Relations: Build and maintain positive relationships with residents, addressing their concerns and delivering exceptional service.
  2. Marketing and Leasing: Promote available units, conduct property tours, and oversee the leasing process to achieve high occupancy rates.
  3. Financial Oversight: Manage property budgets, oversee rent collection, and track expenses to ensure financial health.
  4. Maintenance Management: Supervise maintenance and repair operations, ensuring the property is well-kept and compliant with all regulations.
  5. Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on affordable housing laws and ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations.
  6. Community Involvement: Organize events and activities to foster a sense of community among residents.
  7. Remote Management: Oversee leasing and compliance for remote properties.
Qualifications:
  • Experience in property management, particularly in affordable housing.
  • Familiarity with affordable housing programs and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in conflict resolution and customer service.
  • Skilled in property management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Education Requirements:
  • Preferred: Associate's degree or higher.
  • Preferred: Certifications such as COS (Certified Occupancy Specialist), TCS (Tax Credit Specialist), Fair Housing, or equivalent training.
