We are seeking a skilled Behavioral Health Technician to join our team at The Arora Group. This role will involve coordinating complex clinical operations at a facility that houses individuals detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

The successful candidate will consult with Behavioral Health Providers to monitor patient compliance, promote safety and patient engagement within an integrated and therapeutic care milieu.

Key responsibilities will include scheduling appointments, completing medical records documentation in electronic Health Records (eHR), and coordinating follow-up care for mental health patients under the direction of the Behavioral Health Provider.

Key Duties:

  • Provide direct services to assigned population
  • Collect health data
  • Observe behaviors and wellness checks
  • Perform sleep hygiene encounters and checks as directed
  • Prompt as needed with activities of daily living
  • Provide health and general program education and patient support
  • Monitor patient safety and risk
  • Escort BH detainees to appointments as required
  • Observe patient behaviors during all programming and recreation activities

Requirements:

  • Associate degree in a behavioral science/specialty field
  • Two years of work experience in a mental health clinic or residential healthcare setting
  • American Association of Psychiatric Technicians (AAPT) certification at level three within 12 months of hire
  • Current certification in either the American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS) or the American Red Cross CPR/BLS Course
