Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst, Store Finance to join our team. As a key member of our Store Finance team, you will be responsible for managing the core financial processes associated with Store Operating Expenses.
Key Responsibilities- Manage annual and long-term plans for store expense, ensuring budgets and 5-year plans are based on sound assumptions and analytics.
- Prepare and validate journal entries, analyze open commitments, and monitor variances in actuals vs. budget and prior forecast.
- Maintain expense tracking, forecasting, and expenditure control processes, and support month-end and quarter-end reporting processes.
- Prepare monthly expense forecasts, budget-to-actual variance analysis, and Blue Book and Board meeting budget explanations.
- Train and support business partners and other partners in finance on financial processes and forecasting best practices.
- Work with business partners to ensure appropriate controls are in place to manage relevant store-related expenses.
- Manage select Store Expense accounts, provide financial support through ad hoc analysis, and develop and maintain effective process documentation.
- Bachelor's degree in an analytical field, preferably with 2-4 years of relevant work experience, including planning and forecasting experience.
- Expertise with Microsoft Excel, strong analytical ability, and strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to deal effectively with pressure, multiple tasks, deadlines, and rapidly changing priorities.
This position requires regular in-office presence, including attending in-person team interactions, meetings, and collaboration. However, this role can perform duties effectively using a combination of in-office and remote work.
