Job Title: Events Team Member

At The Sports Facilities Companies, we are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Events Team Member to join our team at the Portland Sports Complex. As a key member of our events team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service and ensuring a memorable experience for our athletes, guests, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide excellent guest service to all guests, including event ticket and wristband concessions, wayfinding, and registration for leagues, camps, clinics, and drop-ins.
  • Be knowledgeable about facility programs, including format, pricing, meeting dates, and times.
  • Operate multi-line phones, record and file waivers and event information, and maintain confidentiality with guest and team member information.
  • Resolve guest concerns and complaints, and direct to appropriate management as needed.
  • Know and enforce facility policies and procedures, and complete special projects, daily assignments, and other duties as directed by management.
Event Coordination:
  • Assist with scheduling and coordinating all facility events and parties, ensuring all party details are executed as planned and tracked.
  • Communicate clearly and timely with management, gym attendants, and party hosts to ensure proper setup, coordination of activities, and cleanup for all parties.
  • Maintain inventory of paper goods, balloons, helium, party bags, giveaways, and order supplies as needed.
  • Adhere to party manual, including party process, procedures, and standard game/activity curriculum.
Requirements:
  • Flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and long hours, with regular attendance necessary.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to maintain focus in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Must have excellent guest service skills, be detail-oriented, and have outstanding organizational skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and remain calm and focused in difficult and stressful situations.
  • Must be respectful and friendly to athletes, guests, visitors, spectators, leaders, and fellow team members.
  • Must work well with others, take personal initiative for the betterment of the team and venue, and commit to the safety and well-being of others.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands:
  • Must be able to lift 20 pounds waist high.
  • May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time, whether indoors or outdoors, and squat, stoop, or bend.
  • Will be required to operate a computer.
  • Facility has intermittent noise.
