Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Service Technician to join our team at Hermiston Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram. As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, diagnosing and repairing various automotive systems, and ensuring all repairs and maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and within the specified timeframes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, filter replacements, and fluid checks.
  • Diagnose and repair various automotive systems, such as engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems, and HVAC.
  • Conduct comprehensive vehicle inspections to identify potential issues and provide accurate repair recommendations.
  • Utilize diagnostic equipment, technical manuals, and computerized systems to diagnose and troubleshoot vehicle problems.
  • Collaborate with the Service Advisor to explain necessary repairs, costs, and timelines to customers.
  • Keep detailed records of all services and repairs performed, adhering to dealership and industry standards.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a formal automotive training program is preferred.
  • Proven experience as an automotive service technician, preferably in a dealership setting.
  • Strong technical knowledge and expertise in diagnosing and repairing automotive systems.
  • Proficient in using diagnostic tools, software, and other industry-related equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
