Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Body Imaging & Musculoskeletal Radiologist to join our diagnostic radiology department at the VA New York Harbor Healthcare System. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for administrative, clinical, educational, and research activities in radiology service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret general radiology, body imaging, and musculoskeletal radiology studies.
  • Review radiology requests for appropriateness, respond to consults timely, prescribe exam protocols, review image quality, and provide feedback to the technical staff.
  • Interact with patients to obtain relevant clinical history and physical exam findings within the scope of radiology practice.
  • Provide clinical oversight of medication administration, including contrast material and other medications relevant to practice of diagnostic radiology.
  • Participate in quality assurance programs, such as peer review and performance improvement.
  • Participate in teaching programs and clinical conferences, such as tumor boards.
