About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Medical Telemetry Nurse to join our team at Centerpoint Medical Center. As a Medical Telemetry Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing acute changes in patients, monitoring and analyzing heart rhythms, and intervening in emergency situations.

About the Unit

  • Our 36-bed Medical Telemetry Unit provides a wide variety of monitored patients, including those with chest pain, stroke, COPD, post-operative care, and accelerated heart rhythms.
  • We offer a supportive team environment, with opportunities for career growth and elevation to more critical care roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality patient care, including monitoring and analyzing heart rhythms, and intervening in emergency situations.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and advancements in cardiac monitoring and step-down care.

Qualifications

  • Current RN license from the Missouri State Board of Nursing or Multistate RN license from a participating compact state.
  • BLS certification required upon hire.
  • ACLS certification within 1 year of hire date.
  • This role requires full vaccination for COVID-19 based on local, state, and/or federal law or regulations.
  • Minimum of 6 months of nursing experience.
