Medical Telemetry Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Telemetry Nurse to join our team at Centerpoint Medical Center. As a Medical Telemetry Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing and monitoring patients with acute changes in their condition, interpreting ECGs, and intervening in emergency situations.
About This UnitOur 36-bed Cardiac Telemetry Unit is a fast-paced and dynamic environment where you will have the opportunity to work with a wide variety of monitored patients, including those with chest pain, stroke, COPD, post-operative care, and accelerated heart rhythm. Our team provides support, guidance, and education for each other, and we offer great growth opportunities for career advancement.
Responsibilities- Provide high-quality patient care to patients aged 16 and over, including young adults, adults, and geriatric patients.
- Assess and monitor patients with acute changes in their condition, including those with chest pain, stroke, COPD, post-operative care, and accelerated heart rhythm.
- Interpret ECGs and intervene in emergency situations as needed.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families to promote health and wellness.
- Current RN license from the Missouri State Board of Nursing or a participating compact state.
- BLS certification required upon hire.
- ACLS certification within 1 year of hire date.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
