Job Title: Perinatal Behavioral Specialist

Job Summary:

The Perinatal Behavioral Health Specialist will join a team of dedicated professionals in the DC Mother-Baby Wellness program. This individual will provide behavioral health screening and interventions to pregnant and postpartum patients, ensuring optimal patient coordination and collaboration between teams and partner organizations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide behavioral health screening and diagnostic interventions to pregnant and postpartum patients
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure patient-centered care
  • Identify and prioritize clinical and psychosocial goals
  • Problem-solve to ensure follow-through on needed responses
  • Document patient care in a complete, accurate, and timely manner

Requirements:

  • Masters degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or similar discipline
  • 3 years' experience in a behavioral health setting with therapy, care coordination, and a diverse patient population
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with diverse patients and groups
  • Excellent problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certificate in perinatal mental health
  • Experience with maternal or perinatal mental health
